What is Clevr Blends?
Clevr Blends is a woman-led functional beverage company known for instant oat-milk SuperLattes. Each mix already contains a creamy oat-and-coconut base, so the customer normally adds only hot water and then froths, shakes or blends the drink.
The brand began as a mobile adaptogenic coffee and tea bar on the California coast. Cofounders Hannah Mendoza and Roger Coppola wanted to turn the more complicated drinks they served from their van into a practical home product. After roughly a year of formulation, the company launched its just-add-water SuperLatte range.
Clevr now sells coffee, matcha, chai, turmeric, mocha, sleep-focused lattes, flavored seasonal matchas, hydration powders and several kits. Products are blended and packaged in Southern California according to the company.
Our quick verdict
Clevr Blends earns a 4.7/5 editorial rating. It is one of the most convenient functional-latte systems because the milk base, sweetener, coffee or tea and functional ingredients are already combined in one pouch.
The products are especially appealing to people who normally buy sweetened café lattes but want a faster drink with less caffeine and only about 2 g of sugar per serving. The main limitations are premium pricing, erythritol and monk-fruit sweetness, coconut allergens, relatively low protein and health claims that require careful interpretation.
The Coffee SuperLatte is our best overall selection. Matcha is a better fit for green-tea drinkers, Sleeptime is the most distinctive caffeine-free option and Golden is the easiest turmeric latte to prepare.
How Clevr SuperLattes work
Most current SuperLattes use a three-tablespoon serving, equal to approximately 24 g of powder. Preparation takes only a few steps:
- Add three tablespoons of powder to 6–8 ounces of hot or warm water.
- Froth, blend or shake vigorously.
- Drink hot or pour over ice.
No separate milk or sweetener is required because organic oat-milk powder, coconut milk or coconut cream and a monk-fruit-and-erythritol blend are already included.
A handheld frother produces a smoother café-style texture than stirring with a spoon. Some powder can settle during drinking, so a quick second stir may be useful.
What is inside a typical SuperLatte?
The exact formula varies by flavor, but the core structure commonly includes:
- Organic gluten-free oat-milk powder
- Organic coconut milk or coconut cream
- Monk-fruit and erythritol sweetener
- Coffee, matcha, black tea, turmeric, cacao or herbal ingredients
- Ashwagandha
- Lion’s mane and/or reishi extracts
- Himalayan pink salt
- Green-tea extract
- Bacillus coagulans probiotic in several daytime blends
The products are plant-based and use gluten-free oats. However, Clevr states that the complete SuperLatte products are not yet certified gluten-free, so people with celiac disease or strict medical requirements should review the current label and contact the manufacturer.
All four featured products contain coconut and are labeled for the tree-nut allergen.
Best overall: Coffee SuperLatte
Coffee SuperLatte is the easiest Clevr product to recommend because it preserves a recognizable coffee-latte experience while reducing caffeine compared with a typical full-strength coffee.
The formula contains organic instant Arabica coffee, oat milk, coconut milk, ashwagandha, lion’s mane, reishi and a Bacillus coagulans probiotic. It has a creamy, mildly sweet coffee profile rather than the bitterness of black drip coffee.
Each current serving provides:
- Approximately 50 mg caffeine
- 80 calories
- 3.5 g total fat
- 18 g carbohydrate
- 1 g fiber
- 2 g total sugar
- 2 g protein
One pouch contains approximately 14 servings and was listed at $29 for a one-time purchase at the review date. Current promotional subscription prices were shown from $21.75 per bag for monthly delivery and $18.85 per bag when three bags are delivered quarterly.
The 50 mg caffeine level is meaningful but moderate. It may suit customers who experience jitters after a larger coffee, although it is not caffeine-free and will not guarantee a crash-free experience for everyone.
Best for matcha drinkers: Matcha SuperLatte
Matcha SuperLatte is designed for people who enjoy a creamy matcha latte but do not want to whisk matcha separately and then add milk and sweetener.
Clevr says its organic matcha comes from Uji, Japan, where the leaves are shade-grown and stone-ground. The current mix also contains ashwagandha, lion’s mane, reishi and a probiotic.
Each serving currently provides:
- Approximately 45 mg caffeine
- 80 calories
- 3.5 g total fat
- 17 g carbohydrate
- 1 g fiber
- 2 g total sugar
- 2 g protein
The 14-serving pouch was listed at $29 one time, with the same current monthly and quarterly promotional subscription structure as the Coffee SuperLatte.
The drink is smoother and creamier than plain whisked matcha. That makes it approachable, but traditional matcha drinkers may prefer a pure powder that allows control over grade, water, milk and sweetness.
Best caffeine-free evening drink: Sleeptime SuperLatte
Sleeptime SuperLatte is the most differentiated product in the range. It is caffeine-free and melatonin-free, with a flavor that Clevr compares with a vanilla cappuccino meeting hot chocolate.
The current formula includes magnesium bisglycinate, chicory root, carob, L-theanine, valerian, ashwagandha, reishi, hops, passionflower and vanilla. It is intended to be consumed during an evening wind-down routine.
Each serving provides approximately:
- 0 mg caffeine
- 80 calories
- 4 g total fat
- 17 g carbohydrate
- 1 g fiber
- 2 g total sugar
- 1 g protein
A 14-serving pouch was listed at $29 one time. Clevr currently recommends drinking it one to three hours before bedtime.
The company reports results from a 12-week study involving 35 women aged 28–42 who consumed the product before bed and wore tracking devices. Those findings are interesting but should not be treated as proof that every user will sleep better. The sample was small, and the public product page does not provide enough information to independently assess every aspect of the trial.
Valerian evidence for sleep is inconsistent, and valerian should not be casually combined with alcohol or sedatives. Ashwagandha may affect the thyroid, interact with medicines and has been associated with rare liver problems. Anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a health condition should consult a qualified professional before using Sleeptime regularly.
Best turmeric option: Golden SuperLatte
Golden SuperLatte is a caffeine-free turmeric drink with ginger, cinnamon, cardamom and black pepper. It also includes ashwagandha, lion’s mane, reishi and a probiotic.
Black pepper and the fat supplied by coconut milk make sense in a turmeric beverage because both are commonly used alongside curcumin-containing ingredients. However, the product page does not establish that a serving delivers a standardized therapeutic dose of curcumin.
Each current serving provides:
- 0 mg caffeine
- 90 calories
- 4 g total fat
- 17 g carbohydrate
- 1 g fiber
- 2 g total sugar
- 2 g protein
The 14-serving pouch was listed at $29 one time. The flavor is warm, earthy and mildly sweet. It is more convenient than preparing a golden-milk recipe from separate turmeric, spices and milk, but buyers should choose it for taste and routine rather than expecting it to treat inflammation or another condition.

Clevr comes closer to a ready-made café latte than many mushroom or adaptogen powders because oat milk, coconut milk and sweetener are built into the formula. It develops foam with a small frother and has more body than mixing coffee or matcha powder with water alone.
It is still an instant powdered beverage. The texture is lighter than a latte made with freshly steamed milk, and users may notice some powder or spice sediment.
The sweetening system also matters. Monk fruit and erythritol keep sugar low, but some people detect a cooling sensation or lingering sweetener aftertaste. The Coffee and Matcha products are mildly sweet rather than neutral.
Sugar alcohol and digestive tolerance
Current nutrition panels list approximately 6–8 g of sugar alcohol per serving, largely from the erythritol-based sweetener blend. Many people tolerate erythritol well, but higher intakes can cause digestive discomfort in some individuals.
Start with one serving and avoid combining several erythritol-sweetened foods or drinks at the same time when you are unsure of your tolerance.
The added-sugar amount is low at approximately 2 g, but the drinks are not unsweetened and are not carbohydrate-free.
Adaptogens, mushrooms and probiotics
Clevr uses ingredients such as ashwagandha, lion’s mane, reishi and Bacillus coagulans probiotics. These ingredients have each been studied, but results from an individual extract cannot automatically be applied to every finished latte.
Important questions include the extract type, dose, duration of use, studied population and the outcome measured. Clevr states that it uses clinically studied dosages and has conducted randomized trials, but the product pages do not disclose the exact amount of every functional ingredient in an ordinary Supplement Facts-style panel.
This limits detailed comparison with research and competing products. The lattes should be viewed as functional foods that may support a pleasant routine—not as proven treatments for anxiety, depression, high cortisol, poor immunity, insomnia or digestive disease.
Understanding Clevr’s clinical-study claims
Clevr reports a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled study involving 64 participants with stress and anxiety. Product pages display company-reported improvements in questionnaire scores, sleep quality and cortisol.
The brand also reports the smaller Sleeptime trial described above. These trials are more meaningful than relying only on customer testimonials, but several limitations remain:
- The public pages provide only a summary rather than a complete peer-reviewed publication.
- Results may reflect a combination of ingredients rather than the coffee, matcha or mushrooms alone.
- The studied population may not represent all customers.
- Self-reported sleep, stress or mood measures can be influenced by expectations and routine changes.
- The results do not establish that the products prevent or treat a medical disorder.
Caffeine compared with coffee
Coffee SuperLatte contains about 50 mg caffeine and Matcha about 45 mg, compared with roughly 95 mg often cited for an eight-ounce cup of brewed coffee. Actual coffee caffeine varies widely with beans, serving size and brewing method.
Lower caffeine may reduce the likelihood of jitters for some users, but caffeine sensitivity is individual. Drinking multiple SuperLattes, combining them with tea or energy products, or consuming them late in the day can still interfere with sleep.
Allergens, dietary preferences and safety
- All four featured products contain coconut.
- The products use oats described as organic and gluten-free, but the complete SuperLattes are not currently certified gluten-free.
- The featured formulas are plant-based.
- Ashwagandha may not be appropriate during pregnancy or breastfeeding and may interact with thyroid, diabetes, blood-pressure, immune-suppressing or sedating medicines.
- Valerian, hops and passionflower can have sedating effects and should be approached carefully with alcohol, sleep medicines or other sedatives.
- Persistent insomnia, anxiety, depression, fatigue or digestive symptoms require appropriate medical assessment.
Sourcing and social-impact commitments
Clevr says it prioritizes regenerative agriculture, smaller suppliers and transparent supply chains. The organic matcha is sourced from Uji, Japan; the oat ingredients come from North America; and botanical ingredients are sourced from several regions depending on quality and season.
The company reports making monthly donations through a food-justice grant program. It also states that shipping materials are made from post-consumer recycled content and are recyclable.
These commitments are useful company-level signals, but they do not mean every ingredient is local or that every package has the same environmental profile. The current flexible pouches may not be accepted in ordinary curbside recycling.
Subscription pricing and value
At the review date, one-time pricing was $29 for a 14-serving pouch, equal to approximately $2.07 per latte.
The website was displaying promotional subscription structures including:
- Monthly: approximately $21.75 for one pouch, or about $1.55 per serving on the first promotional shipment.
- Quarterly: three pouches for approximately $18.85 each, or around $1.34 per serving on the current promotion.
Future subscription discounts may be smaller than the introductory discount. Promotions and included gifts change frequently, so customers should review the recurring price rather than focusing only on the first shipment.
Clevr costs more than preparing instant coffee or tea with supermarket oat milk. It can still save money when it replaces a $5–$7 café latte and the customer values the integrated creamer and functional ingredients.
Shipping and return policy
Current product pages advertise free U.S. shipping above a displayed threshold, which was shown around $45 during this review. Other policy and FAQ pages have referenced a $47 threshold for certain subscription or standard offers, so checkout should be treated as the final source.
Most orders are processed quickly and current product pages estimate arrival within approximately two to five days after shipment. The broader shipping policy allows more time during busy periods.
The 30-day happiness guarantee is more limited than the product-page summary may initially suggest:
- It applies to a first purchase under $75.
- The request must be made within 30 days.
- Outbound shipping and return-label fees can be deducted.
- Accessories, apparel, gifted items, sale items and wholesale orders may be final sale.
- Later subscription shipments are not eligible for return, refund or cancellation after being charged.
What we like
- Genuinely simple just-add-water preparation.
- Oat milk, coconut milk and sweetener are already included.
- Lower caffeine than many ordinary coffee drinks.
- Good hot and iced texture when used with a frother.
- Broad range of coffee, matcha, chai, turmeric and evening flavors.
- First-order guarantee reduces the risk of testing the brand.
What could be better
- $29 for 14 servings is expensive compared with basic home drinks.
- Exact doses of every adaptogen and mushroom are not clearly disclosed.
- Erythritol aftertaste and digestive tolerance vary.
- The drinks contain only 1–2 g protein and are not meal replacements.
- Complete products are not currently certified gluten-free.
- Later subscription shipments are generally nonrefundable once charged.
Who should consider Clevr Blends?
- People who regularly purchase café lattes and want a faster home option.
- Coffee drinkers seeking a moderate-caffeine morning beverage.
- Matcha drinkers who prioritize convenience over traditional preparation.
- Plant-based customers comfortable with coconut and oat ingredients.
- People interested in a caffeine-free turmeric or evening latte.
Who may want to look elsewhere?
- Customers seeking plain black coffee or unsweetened pure matcha.
- People who dislike monk fruit or erythritol.
- Anyone with a coconut allergy.
- Customers who require certified gluten-free finished products.
- Buyers who want precise milligram disclosure for every functional ingredient.
- People expecting a latte to treat stress, anxiety, inflammation or insomnia.
Final verdict: Is Clevr Blends worth buying?
Clevr Blends is worth considering when convenience and café-style texture matter more than achieving the lowest possible cost per drink. The formulas are easy to prepare, pleasantly creamy and available across enough flavors to support a morning-to-evening routine.
Coffee SuperLatte is the best overall choice because it offers a familiar latte flavor with around half the caffeine of a typical cup of coffee. Matcha SuperLatte is better for green-tea drinkers, Sleeptime is the most distinctive caffeine-free formula and Golden is the easiest way to prepare a turmeric latte.
Start with one pouch or a small starter set before choosing a recurring delivery. Review the allergen statement, sweeteners, current subscription renewal price and return limitations, and treat functional benefits as possible support rather than guaranteed medical outcomes.
